Leon Roy's Obituary
Leon Roy Owens of South Haven, Michigan passed away on November 30, 2023 at the age of 69. Leon was born in Kalamazoo to Roy and Thelma (Pathic) Owens on April, 24, 1954.
Leon married Patricia Caley in Kalamazoo on June 26, 1974. They were married for 49 years before his passing. Leon worked as a machinist for Flow Serve Manufacturing making mechanical seals for oil wells and nuclear energy plants. He loved visiting the Rod and Gun Club and was an active scout master.
Leon is preceded in death by his parents, sister; Connie Barnaby and great-great grandchild; Leighton.
He is survived by his wife, children; Robert (Laura) Owens, Portage, MI, Brian (Toni) Owens, Mendon, MI, Elizabeth Lloyd, Kalamazoo, and Daniel Owens, Kalamazoo. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren; Bryin, Sarah, Sabrina, Zachary and Jessie, five great-grandchildren; Mackenzie, Brysin, Lillianna, Alivia and Tucker and Siblings; Terri (Michael) Whipple, Paw Paw, MI and Gary (Christy) Owens, Kalamazoo.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 7 from 12:00 P.M. – 1:00 P.M. at the Filbrandt Chapel. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 P.M. at Filbrandt Chapel. Leon will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery in South Haven.
