Levar's Obituary
Levar Lee Coleman, age 43, was called home to Heaven on October 14th, 2021 to be with God. Levar was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 11th, 1977. Levar then relocated to Covert, Michigan with his mother, Mary Washington and father, George Washington. Levar is an alumnus of Covert High School. During his youth, Levar participated in track and swimming.
At the time of his death, Levar was working on rebuilding his 1974 classic Chevrolet Corvette, in which he took great pride in. Levar had a unique way with words; he always spoke in riddles. He was very energetic and had a love for fashion. Levar will be honored for his contagious smile, selfless acts of kindness, and spontaneous soul.
Levar is survived by his mother – Mary Lee Washington; his two brothers – Shawn Patrick Coleman and Alfonso Henry Coleman; his two aunts – Eddie Mae Rogers and Patsy Coleman; his uncle – Terry Coleman; his nieces – Gracie May Sue Coleman and Ajanay Coleman; his nephews – Xavier Lonnie Coleman and Alfonso Coleman, Jr.; and his many cousins.
Levar was preceded in death by his grandma – Mary Francis Brooks; father – George Washington; uncles – Leroy Coleman, John W. Coleman, and Henderson Walker; and his aunt – Lucille Davis.
Wake will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Faith Temple of Christ All Nations in Covert, Michigan. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 P.M. at the church. Levar will be laid to rest at Covert Cemetery in Covert, Michigan.
