Madelyn was born on January 28, 2000, in St. Joseph to Bob and Tricia (Watts) Salvano. She graduated from high school in 2018 and went on to attend Lake Michigan College. Madelyn was a ray of light to her family and friends. Her smile would light up a room and her silliness and sense of humor would get everyone laughing. She had such compassion for every person she met, completely inclusive and accepting. She was very giving, with a big heart, always looking to help others in any way she could.
She had many passions that she enjoyed: She loved being outside experiencing nature, whether at the beach or on hikes. She was very creative, enjoyed designing jewelry, various craft projects, baking and knitting. She loved spending time with her family playing board games, card games, shooting pool, etc. She loved many styles of music and really enjoyed dancing. She found great joy in children and enjoyed babysitting.
Her greatest love, from a young age, was animals of all kinds. She was most fond of dogs. Her beloved siberian husky, Kota, was her constant companion. They shared an incredible bond.
She loved getting the dogs of her siblings together with Kota to have them run around and play. Madelyn greatly enjoyed time at her family’s lake house, finding peace out on the water. She treasured family trips, most recently in 2024 to Mexico, and was looking forward to many more. She was incredibly close with all three of her siblings, always laughing and joking when they were together. With her brothers Justin and Jake, she shared a love of playing video games and hanging out. With her sister Morgan she had a best friend relationship, going to countless concerts, enjoying days at the beach, and spending time together whenever they got the chance.
We are sad that her light was extinguished too soon and she will be forever missed. We find comfort in the knowledge that she is at peace and will always be with us.
Madelyn is survived by her parents, Bob and Tricia Salvano; siblings, Justin (Nicole) Salvano, Morgan Salvano, and Jake Salvano; paternal grandparents, Mary Ellen (Gus) Scheffler, Bob (Addie) Salvano; maternal grandparents Chuck and Sharon Watts; Uncle Scott (Stacey) Salvano; aunts, Lisa (Gerry) Green, Pam Watts and Leanne
