Marilyn Jean White passed away surrounded by family on February 26th in Kalamazoo, MI. She was born July 12, 1961 to Eldridge White Sr. and Annie B. White.

Marilyn accepted the Lord at an early age. Growing up in a Christian home she found her love for gospel music. Marilyn served as the Head Usher at Second Baptist church and Emmanuel Community Church. She was a member of Jefferson Street Missionary Baptist church in Nashville Tennessee.

After that she got her CNA license and began work at Countryside nursing home where she thrived in taking care of others, so she transferred to home health care. Later she became the store manager at Little Caesars.

Marilyn was a strong Christian woman. She loved listening to gospel music and around Christmas time you could hear her blasting the temptations Christmas album. She loved attending church services especially if there was a lot of music. Most of the time you could find her at a softball field, an auditorium or at a horse barn supporting her granddaughters. Marilyn was adamant about being there for her girls. Whatever they had going on she was always front and center. She loved reading her bible and watching her westerns. Marilyn was easy going and loved to have a good time. Family gatherings was her favorite, the more the merrier. If she had not heard from you in a while, she would call you and ask, “What’s your problem?” and fuss at you. She was a great listener and easy to talk to. She was also known to give you the best advise she could. And boy was she STUBBORN.
