Martin's Obituary
Martin LeRoy Bailey Jr. was born in Berrien Center, Michigan on January 14th, 1976, to Martin LeRoy Bailey Sr. and Ivy Elizabeth (Floyd) Bailey, passed away at home in Coloma, Michigan on October , 2025.
He grew up with his older sister Elizabeth Ann (Bailey) Duncan, his cousin Jeni Lyn (Floyd) Johnson, his cousin John Roy Floyd Jr. and a whole host of other cousins and friends. His childhood was filled with love, laughter, and happy memories. Treasures that will live on forever.
Though Martin never had children of his own, he played a significant and special role in helping raise Elizabeth’s children, Frankie Isrel Lopez, Brittany Elizabeth Lopez, Mollie Arlene Williams, Georgianna Annabelle Rose Grant, Thomas Michael Duncan, Ivalisa Marie Duncan, Martin John Robert Duncan, and Danny Lee Ignacio Trujillo. He was more than the “Best Uncle in the World”. He had a big heart, a great sense of humor, and a deep love for his family. He was a kind, gentle, and loving man who brought laughter and warmth to everyone who knew him.
In his final days, Martin found peace and comfort in his faith, expressing that he was ready to go home to be with his beloved Mother Ivy and the rest of his loved ones in Heaven.
Martin is preceded in death by his beautiful Mother Ivy and other cherished family members and friends. He is survived by his Father Martin, his sister Elizabeth, her children Frankie, Brittany, Mollie, Anna, Thomas, Ivalisa, Martin, and Danny, whom he loved deeply, his cousin Jeni, his cousin John Jr., and many relatives and friends who will miss him more than words can express.
