Michael E. Christy, 75, of Benton Harbor, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at his residence.
He was born on July 11, 1948, in Benton Harbor. Mike was a 1966 graduate of St. Joseph High School. Upon graduation, at the age of 17, he joined the US Army. Mike proudly served his country doing 3 tours of duty in Vietnam and he was also stationed in Germany, before earning an honorable discharge. He was a car enthusiast, an animal lover and enjoyed western themed movies and television programs.
Surviving are his son – Brandon Christy; step-father – Jack Miller; and close friends – Bill and Nancy Smith.
Preceding him in death were his father – Robert Dale Christy; mother – Joyce (Winkel) Miller; and son – Travis Christy.
A Memorial Gathering will be held from 3-5 PM on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Riverview Park, 2927 Niles Ave, St. Joseph. Arrangements were entrusted to Starks and Menchinger Chapel, St. Joseph.
