Mike's Obituary
Michael John DeLany, 65, of Decatur, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at his home in Decatur. He was born January 4, 1958 in Grand Rapids, MI to Charles and Violet (Austin) DeLany.
The family will receive guests from 4pm until 9pm, Friday, January 12, 2023 at Newell Chapel, 83313 M-51, Decatur. Interment will be held privately on a later date.
Mike was a long-time biker who loved to fly. He was a protector to many and a friend to all. He also drove semi for many years, and has seen most of the United States. His love to travel led him to South Dakota for Sturgis Bike Rally with dear and close friends. He was a very kind hearted person who loved to spend time with his family and friends. He enjoyed spending endless hours in his garage, working on anything with a motor. And don’t forget, “Speed” was his middle name.
Mike will be missed by his children, Amanda (Marvin) Mullins, Jackie (George) Royce, Charlie (Beth) DeLany, and Harley (Mindy) Domasik-Tanis; his grandchildren, Matthew (Mercedes), Jasmine (Jarod), Mercedes (Levi), Karlie (Mikey), Marvin Jr., Violet, Zoey, Maddox, Coral, Macee, Calista, Presley, Marshall, and Charlie Jr.; his great grandchildren, MJ, Brooklyn, Waylon, and Tatum; and his fur baby, Trish.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia DeLany; and his parents.
