Michael Anthony Wilds, 66, of Niles, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Corewell Health Niles Hospital in Niles, MI.
The family will celebrate Mike’s life with a service held at 11:00am, Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Calvary Bible Church, 27032 Marcellus Hwy, Dowagiac. Memorial contributions may be given to Calvary Bible Church at the address above.
Michael was born February 19, 1959 in Dowagiac, MI to Roscoe and Beverly (Lawrence) Wilds. From birth, Mike was a mover. He had a “can’t stop, won’t stop” mentality that lasted well into his final days. In his younger years, it showed in his work as owner/operator of a pool installation company for many years. You could often see him taking rides on his motorized scooter down the road to visit neighbors and pet their dogs. And if you didn’t see him coming, you could certainly hear him coming; his unique high-pitched, squeaky voice will be fondly remembered by those who loved him.
Mike will be missed by his siblings, Jim (Jackie) Lawrence, Terry Wilds, Curt Wilds, Susan Wilds, Barb (Allen) Bowen, Robert (Mary) Wilds, Jeff Wilds, Steve (Kimberly) Wilds, Karen (Mark) Simpson, and Roscoe Wilds, Jr.; many special nieces, nephews, and extended family; and his devoted caretaker, Mindy, who nurtured a loving relationship with Mike over the past eleven years.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and his long-time companion, Lois.
