Frances's Obituary
Mildred Frances Brooks 90 of Geneva Twp, passed away on March 7, 2025. Born on July 25, 1934 in Steele Missouri to Hubert and Ruby Howe. United in marriage to the late Alvie “Roy” Brooks on December 3, 1949.
Fran is survived by her daughters; Judy Raymond (Mel Ceips), of Tylertown MS, Edith Brooks of Naperville IL, and Tammy (Mike) Vigansky of Fountain MI, grandchildren; Andrew (Amanda) Raymond, Mark Raymond, Tabitha Vigansky (Jeff Inman), Tanya Vigansky (Carl Wilson), Charlotte Vignasky (Steve Inman), James Vigansky, Jason Vigansky (Arianne Fadder), Danielle Jones, April Brooks. Also survived by 22 great grand children and 5 great great grandchildren and daughter-in-law Cheryl Brooks.
Fran is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Roy Brooks and son Tony Brooks.
Fran worked at many places in and around South Haven, Michigan Canning Factory, DuWell, Ma’s Truck Stop and Barensten Candy Company. Fran as described by Henry (Butch) Vigansky was a loving and outspoken woman who had no problem mixing words when needed. She honored and loved God Almighty and she also knew that she was saved by her Lord Jesus Christ. It seems that she loved Butch also as her eyes lit up every time, he entered the room. Fran loved talking on the phone for hours with her best friend Elaine Moor, watching westerns on T.V and trips to the casino. Family was the most important to her and she cherished the time spent with family and friends.
The family would like to thank a special nephew Orbie Brooks for helping to care for their precious mother.
Visitation for Fran will be held Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Filbrandt Chapel, 1076 South Bailey Avenue from 12 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Pastor Eric Jarvis will officiate. Fran will be laid to rest next to her husband at Chambers Cemetery.
