Miles's Obituary
Miles Anthony Lombard, 77, of St. Joseph, MI, passed away on Sunday – October 26, 2025 at the Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, MI. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel – 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI.
Miles was born on March 16, 1948 in Chicago, IL to the late Albert and Catherine (Quirk). He earned a Master of Arts in Psychology from Illinois State University in 1976 and devoted more than 35 years to public service with the State of Michigan as a Clinical Psychologist. Miles enjoyed traveling, wine and photography and was a proud leader for over 30 years in the Boy Scouts of America, having mentored over ten Eagle Scouts. He was a member of the Newcomers Club in St Joseph, and looked forward to the weekly Friday Men’s Breakfast. Miles was known in his circle of family and friends as ‘the beard of knowledge.’ He will be greatly missed.
Miles is survived by his wife – Sharon; his son – Jared; several in-laws – Mark (Judy) Liszewski, Elizabeth Ball, Patricia (Edward) Patzer, Amy (Tom) Ferguson, Mary Lombard Harrison and Maureen Lombard. He is preceded in death by two brothers – Aiden and Donald Lombard.
There will be a time to visit with the family on Thursday – Nov. 6, from 5:00-7:00pm at Starks & Menchinger Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday – Nov. 7, 10:30am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church- South Campus – 5353 S. Roosevelt Rd., Stevensville, MI. Burial follows at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph.
