Milton's Obituary
Milton was married to the love of his life, Gloria Hunt, in Eau Claire, MI on October 14, 1971. They were happily married for 40 years enjoying travel and winters in Zephyrhills, FL, where they spent time golfing and playing shuffleboard. They also delighted in a variety of activities shared with family and dear friends including board games and dominoes. Milton officially retired from Milton’s Cabinet Shop in 2005, which he established in 1969. He took great pride in his work and always enjoyed pointing out the many homes throughout the area where his craftsmanship could be found.
Milton was a faithful and long-time member of the Village Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church and loyal viewer of 3ABN and East Pasco SDA Church. In his free time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, watching NASCAR, and even climbed into his first race car at 71 to experience the thrill himself, even racing against his son. At 87 he discovered his love of mountain coasters while on a family vacation in Gatlinburg, TN. He also loved golfing and recorded a hole-in-one at Pipestone Creek Golf Course in 2008. Above all, Milton treasured his family. They were his greatest joy and priority, and he delighted in every moment together, especially those with his grandchildren, and he never missed an opportunity to support them in their many pursuits.
Milton is survived by his children, Shirley Axtell, Tari Record, Victoria Moore, Cynthia Jenks, Richard (Sharon) Moore, Brook (Paula) Moore, and Michael (Megan) Jenks. His legacy lives on through his deeply cherished grandchildren, Tasha, Bryce (Caylee), Casey (Jenny), Amanda, Hannah, Griffin, Oliver, Miles, Elijah, Alicia (Jason), Charles, Robert, James, Shawn, Jessica, and Tommy. He was also blessed with several great-grandchildren and brother, James Jenks. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Zenith Jenks; wife, Gloria Jenks; children, Pamela Chowder and Gary Moore; grandchild Jeanine Wicker, and brothers, Dennis and Alfred Jenks.
