Mac's Obituary
Morton Case “Mac”, 94, of Dowagiac, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at his home.
To be announced in the near future, a Memorial Service will take place at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, MI. Mac has been buried at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Sodus, Michigan. Mac was born January 17, 1931, in Sodus, MI, to Daniel and Estella (Patterson) Case. He graduated in 1949 from Benton Harbor High School and entered the military. Mac was an MP in the Marine Corps. during the Korean War. Mac married Cynthia Green, in 1955, and they enjoyed raising their two beautiful children – Daniel and Catherine. Mac was Commander of American Legion Post 353, Eau Claire, a Certified EMT with the Sister Lakes Fire Department, and member of the Dowagiac Civitan Club and Dowagiac Moose Lodge. He loved to race anything on wheels or skiis, including his snowmobile and motorcyle. Mac was a fan of Nascar (Dale Earnhardt Sr.) and the Detroit Lions, Tigers and Red Wings. But his true passion was for the outdoors, where you could often find him fishing, pontoon boating, enjoying his motorcycle and snowmobile, or working in his yard.
He will be missed by his daughter - Catherine Case-Bradley, son-in-law – John Fazzone; and 7 great- grandchildren.
Mac was preceded in death by his son – Daniel Case, May 16, 2020, parents and all of his siblings.
