Nancy C. Hauch, 86, of Sodus, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Spectrum Health- Lakeland.
A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021, at 11AM, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 3713 Naomi Rd., Sodus, with Pastor Duehlmeyer officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, November 28, 2021, from 2PM until 4PM, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 3713 Naomi Rd., Sodus, Michigan Lutheran High School, 615 E Marquette Woods Rd., St. Joseph, or Sodus Township Library, 3776 Naomi Rd., Sodus. Nancy was born on December 26, 1934, to Peter M. & Ethel (Watts) Becker in Coloma. She graduated from Coloma High School and then continued her education at Lake Michigan College where she earned an Associate Degree in secretarial studies. She worked for Auto Specialties as an Executive Secretary before becoming a homemaker and mother. On January 18, 1958, Nancy married Ronald L. Hauch at Coloma Methodist Church in Coloma.
For over 60 years, Nancy was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she also volunteered on the Ladies Aid committee. She also belonged to a knitters group through Sodus Township Library and volunteered for the Lakeland Hospital Auxiliary at Berrien General Hospital for many years. Nancy loved feeding and watching her birds, especially the many hummingbirds that would visit her window feeders. She enjoyed tending her flower gardens over the years.
Nancy so enjoyed her Goodwill shopping trips with friends annually. The many trips to Baldwin and Glen Arbor, Michigan throughout her life with special friends and family. She was so proud to become a grandma to her beloved grandson Isaac and watching him grow up. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Nancy is survived by her children, Brian Hauch of Sodus, David Hauch of Eau Claire, Janice (Jeff) Hemsath of Stevensville and Ron (Lisa) Hauch of Sodus; and grandson Isaac Hemsath.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Peter M. & Ethel Becker, husband Ronald L. Hauch and siblings, Clyde Becker & Henrietta Becker.
