Nancy's Obituary
Nancy Wagner, 74, of St. Joseph, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at her home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:30 P.M. Monday, November 20, 2023, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. Brad Hipel officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Run Cemetery in Scottdale. Friends may visit with the family Sunday from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Nancy was born December 6, 1948 in Dowagiac to Clifford & Mary (Burroughs) Benson. She graduated from Eau Claire High School, class of 1967. On August 31, 1968, she married her high school sweetheart, Ronald Wagner, at Scottdale Community Church. Nancy devoted her life to her family, but also worked outside the home, many years at Lakeshore Studios in Scottdale, followed by several years at Caretel Inns until her retirement. After her retirement, she still volunteered her time there for some time. In her free-time, Nancy enjoyed sewing, baking, cooking, crafts and going with Ron to Hartford Speedway and the local casinos.
Nancy is survived by her loving children Ron Wagner, Jr., of St. Joseph and Amy Wagner of Coloma; her siblings Mike Benson & Marcia (Bruce) Nevins, both of Dowagiac, Kathy (Steve) Bunn & Bonnie (Denny) Kublick both of Eau Claire; sister-in-law Sandra Merrill; brother-in-law, Rubin Isom; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ron on June 7, 2022, her son Mark Wagner June 19, 2018, her parents and siblings Jan Sobieski and Vance Benson.
