Nova's Obituary
Nova Mae Little, 73, of Eau Claire, MI, passed away in her home on Friday, January 13, 2023. Arrangements have been entrusted to heritage Chapel – 8747 US 31, Berrien Springs, MI.
Nova was born on Nov. 28, 1949 in Truman, Arkansas to the late Amos and Hattie (Klutts) Shepherd.
On Jan. 18, 1968 in St. Joseph, MI she married Dennis Little. Nova was a Program Assistant for the USDA for 25 years, retiring in 2014. She loved and lived for her family – and was a precious wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Nova will be missed but not forgotten.
She is survived by her husband of over 55 years – Dennis; her children – Kristy (Donald) Matthews of Eau Claire, Michael (Kelly) Little of Eau Claire and Erik (Kris) Little of Kalamazoo; five grandchildren – Benjamin, Kaitlyn, Rebecca, Michael and Elizabeth; and three great grandchildren – Lillian, Gideon and Everett. Nova is preceded in death by her parents and many brothers and sisters.
Visitation with the family is on Monday, January 16, from 5:00-7:00pm, at the Heritage Chapel in Berrien Springs. A Celebration of Life Service is on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 11:00am, at the funeral home, with Pastor Lanny Duffel officiating. Burial will follow at Caldwell Cemetery in Eau Claire. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
