Pete grew up in Coloma at a time when life was free of worry and fun. In his younger years, his favorite pass time was working on cars and keeping them bright and shiny. In his later years his passion for cars remained in an admirable way. Pete enjoyed his trips to the casino and being from Chicago, was a die-hard Bears and Cubs fan.

Pete is survived by his wife, Shirley (Smith) Del Vecchio whom he married on December 4, 1970. Though Peter and Shirley had no children, Pete’s life was full of love for sisters, Florence Ross and Anita Gaudio and nephew Bruce Crain. Pete has two special friendships with Sue Mierlau and Dr Catherine Sandford who were always loving and understanding along with his best friend Kenny Hiler. Also his brothers and sisters in law Kennth and Linda Hiler, Daryl and Nancy Skorupa and Howard and Teri Smith. His most cherished times were spent with his family and friends. Pete and his wife were blessed to have many great and great great nieces and nephews. Near and far they were always in his heart. Pete was such a kind man, always willing to help anyone, especially those close to him. He will be deeply missed.
