Phyllis Mary Bowyer, 92, lifelong resident of Three Oaks, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 29, 2022 at her home in Three Oaks.
The family will receive guests from 2pm until time of funeral service at 3pm, Monday, August 1, 2022 at Sommerfeld Chapel, 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Three Oaks.
Phyllis was born September 23, 1929 in Three Oaks to John and Lois (Mangold) Haack. On May 8, 1948 she married Marvin Bowyer, and they were happily married until his passing in 1996. They had three children. Phyllis enjoyed reading romance novels and mowing her lawn. But her true pride was taking care of her home and family.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Diane (Jerry) Smith, Marvin (Stephanie) Bowyer, Jr., and Rebecca Simmons; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her special niece, Sharron and nephew, Lonnie.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Bowyer; her siblings, Jerald Haack, Myrtle Brown, Everett Haack, Leo Haack, and Eileen Keller; and her parents.
