Randy C. McLeod, 75, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at St. Jude’s Adult Foster Care in Escanaba, MI.
He was born on August 27, 1950, in Dowagiac, the son of Kermit and Isabella (Burrows) McLeod.
Randy Mcleod was raised with many challenges, but he never let them define him. He loved life deeply and cherished his family above all else. He was always ready for an outing, whether it was fishing, bowling, shooting billiards, or playing dice, Randy found joy in every moment and every gathering.
He was blessed with a caring family, devoted friends, and a supportive community and organizations that helped him thrive. Randy’s kind and gentle soul, pared with his wonderful sense of humor, brightened the lives of all who knew him.
His family is proud to call him their brother and uncle. Though he will be deeply missed, his laughter, love and spirit will never be forgotten.
Surviving are his brother, James (Maryanne) McLeod of Gladstone, MI; sister, Sharon (Gary) McLeod VanSlooten of Holland, MI; nieces and nephews, Leeanne (Brent) Addis of Gowen, MI; Tracy VanSlooten of Seattle, WA, Evan VanSlooten of Holland, Megan (Mark Kinnunen) McLeod of Marquette, MI, and Amanda McLeod of Marquette, MI; and aunt, Bobbie (Dave) Best of Cassopolis.
Cremation has taken place, and his family will be celebrating his life privately. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Dowagiac. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude’s AFC Home, 509 23rd St, Escanaba, MI 49829 or a local animal shelter in Randy’s name.
