Becky's Obituary
Rebecca “Becky” Joyce Doehrer, 69, of Baroda, Michigan, passed after a short illness in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her family on December 21, 2023.
Becky was born November 3, 1954, in Benton Harbor to the late Norma (Richter) Smith and Donald Radesky.
On July 16, 1982, she married the love of her life, Jerry Doehrer in Sodus, MI. They spent a wonderful 40 years together until his passing last year.
Becky loved doting on her husband and spending time with her grandchildren whether that was taking them to the park or teaching them how to ride their first bike. She always opened her home for her kids and grandkids, she loved to be in the kitchen and would make sure that all her kids and/or grandkids bellies were full. She loved doing her hair and makeup, even on days when she didn’t leave the house. She would always wear blues or greens because those were her husband’s favorite colors. He was her best friend. Becky loved cats and anything to do with cats.
Becky is survived by her daughters, Regina (Herman) Goins, Robin Freeman and her son Jerry (Judy) Doehrer. A sister, Shelia Eaton and three brothers, Carl Jones, Art Jones and Bill Smith. 9 grandchildren (Andrew, Justin, Khloie, Madison, Mikeala, Caleb, Brittney, Jo and Hunter) 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her precious cat Ramsey. Becky was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and friend to everyone.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Jerry Doehrer, mother and stepfather, Norma and Roger Smith.
To honor Becky’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to either the American Cancer Society in memory of Becky’s name or any cat refuge of your choice. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.heritage-chapel.com.
