Richard A. Haskell, 69, of Dowagiac, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022.
A private celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Richard’s family in c/o Melody Haskell. Arrangements have been entrusted to Clark Chapel & Cremation Services, 269-782-2135.
Richard was born on May 21, 1953, to Milton & Jessie (Powers) Haskell Jr., in Indianapolis, IN. He attended Edwardsburg High School. On January 21, 1978, Richard married the love of his life Melody Tharp at the Assembly of God Church in Dowagiac. Richard was known as a hard worker. He worked for many different companies in maintenance positions, most recently being at McDonalds. Richard enjoyed being on his computer, watching cooking shows and spending time with his friend, Ernie Hill. His most cherished time was spent with his family.
Richard is survived by his wife of 44 years, Melody Haskell; children, Chris Tharp of Oklahoma, Karen Hansen of Wisconsin, David Haskell of Dowagiac, Elizabeth (Terry) Ladyga of Dowagiac and Michael Haskell of Dowagiac; grandchildren, Kayla, Daimian, Chris, Noah, Ricky, Ruthann, David and Hannah.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents Milton & Jessie Haskell Jr.; brothers, Gordon Haskell and Kenny Haskell; and grandson Matthew Hansen.
