Rickie's Obituary

Rickie Lee Burch, age 68, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025. He was born on December 4, 1956. Rickie was born with a heart that loved deeply and had a sense of adventure, he loved music. His heart was to sing gospel music. Rick touched the lives of countless people through his kindness, his testimony, and his unwavering faith. He shared his
joy for music as part of his testimony and traveled for many years living his dream to sing the Gospel and share the testimony that changed his life. He traveled and sang under his group name, Touched by the Master Ministries.

Rick is survived by his beloved children—his daughter, Klarissa Burch, 23, his son, Calab Burch, 20, his son Donald Burch, 45, spouse, Brooke Burch, 40 and his daughter Cheryll Burch, 46, and grandson Ayden Burch, 17, and granddaughter Skyler Burch. Each of whom he loved with all of his heart. His family was his greatest joy, and he carried immense pride in the paths each of them walked.
One of the defining parts of Rick’s life was his spiritual journey. Rick had a CD published with Ricky Perkins. He and Ricky Perkins were nominated for a Dove award. He found peace and purpose in his relationship which became not only a place of worship but a true home for him. Rick marketed the newspaper at the Herald Palladium, aspired to work at Slackers Family Fun Center for many years. Rick was never shy about sharing his testimony, often offering encouragement, hope, and wisdom to those going through struggles of their own.

His faith was not something he merely practiced; it was something he lived, openly and sincerely.

Rick knew no strangers. Whether through a warm smile, a heartfelt story, or a simple conversation, he formed connections effortlessly. He loved people—loved learning their stories, sharing pieces of his own, and offering support whenever he could. Rick’s presence made others feel seen, valued, and understood.

He leaves behind not only his family but a wide circle of friends, church family, and community members who will forever carry the impact of his compassion and humor. Rick’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the testimonies he shared, and the love he poured into the world.

His family takes comfort in knowing that he is getting the grand tour of heaven from, his predeceased son, Christian Burch age 6; and is now at peace, resting in the presence of the Lord he loved so dearly.

A memorial service will be held on December 8th at 1:00 p.m. at Second Chance True Gospel Ministries Church, located at 1662 Milton St, Benton Harbor, Michigan. Friends and family are welcome.

Please feel free to bring your memories, as we gather for a service and share a
