Robert's Obituary
Robert Allen Edwards, 63, of Decatur, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 in Paw Paw. He was born November 16, 1962 in Kalamazoo, MI to Glen and Vernice (Schott) Edwards.
Rob worked as a welder for many years and had recently retired. He was a proud member of the Decatur/Hamilton Twsp Fire Department for 20 years. In his free time, you could find Rob out fishing, woodworking, or tinkering in his garage.
Rob will be missed by his wife of 31 years, Gerilyn (Makay) Edwards, whom he married on April 2, 1994 in Decatur; his children, Philip (Ashley) Garza, and Alyssa (David) Williamson; his grandchildren, Addison and Bennett Garza, Haley, Ella, Scarlett, Solomon, Sarah and Paul Williamson, and David, Penelope, Laney and Theo; his siblings, Glen Edwards, Deb Edwards, Cathy Stratton, and Sarah (Bill) Herman; and his siblings-in-law, Loretta Doroh, Tony (Nira) Makay, Karen Makay, and Jane (Art) Hayes.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
