Bob's Obituary
Robert J. “Bob” Lutz, 89, of Decatur, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newell Chapel and Cremation Services.

Bob was born March 9, 1933, in Dowagiac, to Joseph and Anna (Karasek) Lutz. He graduated from Decatur High School in 1951. On April 20, 1963, he married the love of his life, Virginia Boyce. In 1962, Bob built Lutz Drive In that he owned and operated for 54 years before his retirement in 2016. He also owned and operated his own farm that his family still farms today. Bob enjoyed farming, hunting and restoring Farmall tractors. Most of all he loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Lutz; children, Bob (Heather) Lutz, Jr., Tom Lutz, Jeff (Maria) Lutz, Cathy (Bill) Beck, Sue (Mike) Heuring, Joe (Maria) Lutz and Mike Lutz; 8 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and sister, Joan Prak. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 3 sisters.
