Sharon “Sherry” was born on April 24, 1946 to Ivan and Beverly (Christian) Hazucha in South Haven, MI. She relocated to St. Joseph, MI where she raised her 3 children and worked at the Berrien County Courthouse before starting a home daycare business. She moved to Ohio in 1986 and worked for the City of Willoughby Law Department as the head legal secretary. She made many special friendships there before heading back to St. Joseph in 2022 to be closer to family.
Sherry endured many health struggles in later years with a never give up spirit, without complaint, instead always sharing her beautiful infectious smile.
Family and friends were the most important part of Sherry’s life. With a warm, peaceful, and welcoming personality, she loved deeply and was loved by many. She will be missed dearly by her children, Lisa (James) Clancy, Michael Heil, and Joseph (Courtney) Heil; grandchildren, Olivia (Ben) Miller, Nicholas Clancy, Casey Heil, Jenna Heil, and Molly Heil; sisters, Barbara (John) Smith and Christine (Randy) Kniebes; and several nieces and nephews and their families as well as many dear friends.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Beverly and granddaughter, Emily Marie Clancy.
