Sherman's Obituary
Sherman Clouse, 68, of Elkhart, IN, formerly of Decatur, MI, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Friday, December 5, 2025 in Elkhart, IN. He was born September 25, 1957 in Harlan, KY to Sherman, Sr. and Sally (Hensley) Clouse.
The family will receive guests from 12:30pm until a celebration of life service at 1pm, Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Newell Chapel, 83313 M51, Decatur, Pastor Joe Ross officiating. Burial to follow at Hill Cemetery, Lawrence. Online condolences can be given at www.newellchapel.com.
If Sherman was out and about, he was his happiest cruising around on his Harley. An avid bike enthusiast, he created many lasting memories and friendships on the open roads. He also spent a lot of time outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time. But there was nothing more important to Sherman than spending time with his family.
Sherman will be missed by his children, Sherman Clouse III, and Amanda Clouse; his siblings, Maryann (Marlin) Bailey, Verna Clouse, Theresa (Scott) Beeman, and Brenda Clouse; many nieces and nephews, who he was truly fond of; and numerous other extended family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Bill Clouse; and his parents, Sherman, Sr., and Sally (Hensley) Clouse.
