Skip's Obituary

Spencer “Skip” Visuri, 80, of South Haven, Michigan, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2024. Skip was born on November 16, 1943 in Muskegon, Michigan to Wayne and Ruth Visuri.

Skip graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He also attended Michigan State University. At the age of 20, he enlisted in the United States Army, Air Force National Guard. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of Private and earned a Sharpshooter Badge, U.S. Rifle Cal..30 Ml Bar, Five-year state service ribbon, and ACDUTRA state service ribbon. He was a dedicated finish carpenter and cabinet maker. Prior to retiring in 2006 he worked for The Austin Company, Local 525. He took great pride in his work. Always willing to lend a hand to help family and friends with projects or whatever they needed.

Skip enjoyed spending time with his wife, Denise and their dog Pierce. He also enjoyed fishing, woodworking and NASCAR racing. What Skip loved most, was spending time talking with family and friends at the V.F.W. and The Moose Lodge.

Skip is survived by his wife Denise and two children, Heather DuBois and Jennifer Collins along with his three grandchildren, Courtney, Megan, and Ben. He is also survived by his sister, Rosalind Visuri, and his brother, Jack Visuri and his wife Liz Visuri.

Skip was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Ruth along with his brother Jerry Davis.

There will be no services at this time. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Moose Lodge #697 of South Haven. May he Rest in Peace.
