Stanley Charles Johnston, 77, of South Haven, Michigan peacefully passed away, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.

Visitation will be at the Filbrandt Chapel on Friday, December 8th, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Memorial Service will follow immediately at 1:00 pm at the Filbrandt Chapel with Pastor Craig Massey officiating. To view Stanley’s personal web page please visit www.starksfamilyfh.com

He was born March 19, 1946, in South Haven, Michigan to Glenn Harold and Blanche Evelyn (Ely) Johnston. Stanley graduated in 1964 from LC Mohr High School in South Haven. He proudly served as a United States Marine in 1967 in Vietnam. Stanley married Donna Marie Boileau at the First United Methodist Church on November 15, 1969 and they just recently celebrated 54 blissful years. From this union of marriage two lovely children were born. Stanley worked for and retired from Frontier/Verizon in 2005 after working for 37 years. Stanley loved camping, fishing, spending time with his family, and telling stories to his grandchildren.

Stanley is survived by his loving wife, Donna Johnston; Son, Christopher Johnston of South Haven. Daughter, Kimberley (Carl) Eastman of Fennville. Grandchildren: Seth (Hunter) Eastman, Alyssa Eastman (Andrew Biederman), Torey (Chris) Noora. Great Grandchildren: Carter Eastman, Emery and Zara Noora. Sister-in-laws: Delores Schut, Peggy Hough and Sharon McNeal. Nephew, Joseph (Ann) Schut and family and a host of family and friends.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Harold and Blanche Evelyn (Ely) Johnston of South Haven; Brother, Zane Johnston of Midland, MI; Brother-in-laws, Tony Schut and Michael Hough.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Filbrandt Chapel of Starks Family Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 269-637-0333.
