Butch's Obituary

Stanley Alan “Butch” Panczak, 69, of Dowagiac, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Clark Chapel, Dowagiac. Those wishing to send a condolence online may do so at www.clarkch.com.

Butch was born on May 11, 1955, to Stanley and Beverly (Stahl) Panczak. He served in the United States Army, being honorably discharged as part of a Trainee Discharge Program. Professionally Butch operated with many companies over the years, but had spent nearly the last decade with Ameriwood Industries in Dowagiac.

He enjoyed music, playing the guitar and was a lifelong cards player, being especially fond of Euchre. Butch also was an avid fisherman, enjoyed metal detecting all over the area and was always happy to go for a country cruise and appreciating old buildings and barns. Know for his great sense of humor, he had a unique gift for telling jokes.

Butch is survived by his siblings, Suzanne (Arthur) Hagan, Steven Panczak and Sandy Johnson; daughter, Sarah and her children; nieces & nephews, Justin Panczak, David Hagan, Nicole Panczak, Vanessa Spivey, Mary (Justin Krance) Johnson and Robin (Andrew) Knoll; great-nieces & nephews, Ivy Panczak, Nova Panczak, Stylz Panczak, Taylor (Brittany O’Brien) Panczak, Elliott Spivey, Charlotte Spivey and Beatrix Krance and great-great-niece & nephew, Rozlynn Panczak and Andrew Panczak. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Beverly Panczak; sister-in-law, Rhonda Panczak; brother-in-law, Ken Johnson and niece, Amy Panczak.
