Mrs. Terri Ellen Thomas, age 65, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at her home.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 7 at 3:00 pm at Starks and Menchinger Chapel, 2650. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 – 3:00 pm. Terri was born on October 3, 1960 to Robert and Barbara (Davis) Bell in Pontiac, MI. On November 28, 1987, she married Jeffery Thomas and the two shared 32 years of marriage before he passed away in 2020.
A dedicated fan of NASCAR, she spent countless weekends cheering on her favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt, from the couch, always hoping for a Sunday afternoon victory. Her enthusiasm didn’t stop there—her cheers for the Lions could be heard from down the street during football season. In recent years, her greatest joy was her grandson, with whom she shared many sleepovers at Grandma’s house, happily bonding over their shared love of chocolates. Beyond her love of sports and family, she embraced life’s simple pleasures: the thrill of a casino adventure, the quiet art of crocheting warmth into every stitch, and the satisfying challenge of tackling even the trickiest puzzles.
Terri is survived by her daughters, Kari Climer and Kay Thomas; grandson, Colson Jeffrey Climer; and siblings, Sherri Simko and Jeff (Marcie Scott) Bell. Along with her husband, Jeff, Terri was also preceded in death by her daughter, Chelsea Thomas and parents.
