Todd's Obituary
Todd Ronald Fernwalt, age 62, passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2025. He was born on March 2, 1963, to Ronald and Bonnie Fernwalt. Todd was raised in Kent City, Michigan and graduated from Kent City High School in 1981. Todd moved to Niles, Michigan after graduating and became a CNC lathe programmer and lead while working at Niles Precision. He then went on to raise ostriches, owned a meat packing plant and owned an over the road trucking company.
Todd is survived by his children, Jason (Laura) Fernwalt, Blake (Gloria) Fernwalt, and Tyler Fernwalt; grandchildren, Henry, Mia, Kanen, Bryson and Penelope Fernwalt, parents Ronald & Bonnie Fernwalt, sister, Julie (Mark) Averill and many cousins.
Todd was preceded in death by his first wife, Sharon Fernwalt, grandparents, Richard Fernwalt, Sylvia (Henry) Teichman and Max & Zelda Cooper.
Two celebration of life services will be held on Saturday, January 17 from 4PM until 6PM at Hilltop Café, 223 E. Front St., Buchanan and Sunday, January 18 from 1PM until 3PM at the Kent City American Legion, 1411 Ball Creek Rd., Kent City. Arrangements have been entrusted to Swem Chapel, Buchanan.
