Victor's Obituary
Victor Romero, 80, of Lawrence, MI, passed away from pancreatic cancer on Wednesday morning, December 24, 2025, at his home under the care of his loving wife, Julia.
He was born on July 22, 1945, in Apatzingán, Michoacán, Mexico, and later served in the Mexican military. Victor was a proud naturalized American citizen and member of Grace Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Decatur, MI. He was employed by Midwest Fasteners until his retirement.
Surviving are his wife of 14 years, Julia Romero; daughter, Jackie Vazquez; step-son, Edgar (Aida) Davila; grandchildren; step-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lita; five siblings; and many extended family and friends.
The family will receive guests from 2:00-4:00 PM on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Newell Chapel – Starks Family Funeral Homes, 83313 M-51, Decatur.
A service to celebrate Victor’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 5, at Grace Apostolic Lighthouse Church, 47377 M-51, Decatur, with Pastor Jack Midkiff officiating. Interment will follow in Harrison Cemetery, Decatur.
