Virgie's Obituary
Virgie Lee Page was born on March 19, 1942 and transitioned to her heavenly home on Saturday,
February 17, 2024 under the care of Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo Michigan.
Virgie was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Lucille Paige, brothers L.C Gains, O.C.
Gains, Mike Gains, Sisters Pat Mc Clain and Ruby Gardiner.
Virgie leaves to mourn her memory sons Byron Paige, Paul Harbin Jr, and Keith Harbin. Sister Linda
Miller and brother Lorey Paige. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, husband Wardell Allen,
dear friend Willie Mae Luckett (Shorty), along with a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, friends.
All will forever cherish the precious memories of Virgie.
Virgie was a life-long member of Spiritual Church of Christ in South Haven. Virgie was also a
member of the gospel singing group God’s Anointed singers at Trinity Baptist Church. Virgie worked
as a care giver, and she loved caring for others.
Virgie was a kind and nurturing woman of God that loved caring for and helping others. Virgie
worked as a caregiver most of her career. Spending time with family was the one most important
thing in her life. Virgie lived her life full of joy, laughter and cute shoes. Today, we celebrate a life
beautifully lived and a soul that enriched the lives of many. We will miss her dearly, but we take
comfort in knowing Virgie’s legacy will live on forever.
Visitation for Virgie will be held Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 11 a.m. until the time of the Funeral
Service at 12 p.m. at Filbrandt Chapel 1076 S. Bailey Avenue, South Haven, Michigan, 49090.
Pastor Aaron Cobbs will officiate.
