Virginia Rhodes-Cochran born March 1, 1934 to Chester Lindsay and Arcadia (Young) Lindsay in Bernie, Missouri died in Covert, Michigan on January 5, 2026. She was 91 years old. She was married to Joe Rhodes from 1950 until his passing in 1981 and to Cecil Cochran in 1993 until his passing in 2014.

She was in a family of 12 children and is survived by a brother Louis (Carol) Lindsay and sister Joyce (Arvel) Billington of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Other family members include her son Don (Mary) Rhodes and grandson Donnie Rhodes of Covert, Michigan and granddaughter Laci (Joe) Mills of Bangor, Michigan. Eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Also, three stepchildren Mansel (Marianne) Cochran, Theresa (Dave) Hoernle and Jennifer (Brandon) Rock and multiple grand and great-grandchildren from the Cochran side.

She worked various jobs in her early years in the citrus industry in central Florida and later became a blueberry farmer with her first husband in Covert.

Her funeral services were provided by Filbrandt Chapel-Starks Family Funeral Home in South Haven and services will be held January 9 at noon (visitation at 11a.m.) at His Place Cathedral of Faith, 69556 CR 378 Covert, Mi. and internment at the Covert Cemetery.
