Uncle Walt is celebrating with his Lord Jesus in heaven and is free of the aches and pains and mental anguish we face in this world. Likely he is also meeting up with his parents and brothers and sisters and all the in-laws who preceded him. How great is that!
As a kid, I appreciated the times he treated me almost like an equal and took genuine interest in what I was up to and I remember the times he served as a surrogate dad for my brother and me at the church father-son banquets when our dad was working nights at Whirlpool and couldn't attend.
