William “Bill” David Salisbury, 61, of Niles, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023.
A private celebration of Bill's life will be held with his family. Bill Salisbury was born in Germany on October 31, 1961, to Guy and Wilma (Capalby) Salisbury. He graduated from Wethersfield High School in Illinois and subsequently served honorably in the United States Marine Corps for 8 years. Bill furthered his education by earning a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College in Davenport, IA.
In his professional life, Bill had a successful career in electronics and mechanical maintenance, contributing his expertise to various organizations, including Boyd Corporation, Bowne, and GM Motors over the years. His dedication, integrity, and passion for his work made him highly sought after in his field. Bill had a fondness for fishing and a deep love for animals. He especially enjoyed taking his dogs on walks and playing with his cats.
Bill is survived by his wife, Diane Salisbury; children, David Salisbury of Oakland, CA, Kylee Salisbury of Mishawaka, IN and Ali Salisbury of Grand Rapids, MI; sisters, Jane (Richard) McCollum, Monica (Brandi Rae Field) Strandberg and Mary (Matt) Krause. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Wilma Salisbury.
