Zane's Obituary
Zane Larry Kark died at home in the arms of his loving wife and children, on March 18, 2025. He was born on April 14, 1943 in Douglas, Michigan to the late Elmer and Mary (Youngblood) Kark.
Visitation will be at the Casco United Methodist Church on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Christina Fleming officiating. Zane will be laid to rest at McDowell Cemetery in Casco Township.
Zane joined the Army at the age of 17. Afterwards he worked for National Motors, Whirlpool for 22 years and retired from South Haven Public Schools after 12 years of service. He loved to travel, camp, hunt, play golf and cheer on the Detroit Lions and his beloved Michigan Wolverines. He was a proud member of the Star of the Lake Masonic Lodge.
Zane married his beloved wife Bessie (Wortman) Kark on May 22, 1965. Together they raised two children; John (Davina) Kark and Bethany (Alan) Vanden Bosch. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Kaley Kark, Valerie Vanden Bosch, Jared (Abby) Kark and Stephanie Vanden Bosch. He leaves behind his brother; Benny (Marcia) Kark, sister-in-laws; Ruth Ann Lambert and Bonnie Wortman. Also surviving are many loving nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his brothers Don Kark and his wife Diana, Rex Kark and his wife Rainey, his sister Elizabeth and her husband Pat, and his brother-in-law John Wortman.
