Kenneth's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Kenneth here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
I remember gifting Mr. Rogers a hot wheels car for his 16th birthday. We thought it was awesome since were were only just about to be 16 ourselves. He was gracious and kind about the whole thing. I also have fond memories of our time at First Pres. May he be lighter than air and fly straight to the heart of God. Peace to you all during this time of loss and grief.

Ken was a kind man, and we enjoyed when he'd visit at our yard sale. We talked about being in the military; teaching; schools; gardening and life in general. So sorry for your loss.

I had the pleasure of working with Ken for several years. Since he was a “leap year baby”, all of Brown School celebrated his sixteenth birthday when he turned 64. We always called our area “Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood “. Truly a great teacher and kind man, who will be remembered and missed by many.

I’m sorry to hear of Ken’s death. He and Jeanine were great friends of mine in the 1970’s & 80’s and helped immeasurably during a difficult time. Although we lost contact years ago, I am thankful for the positive impact on my life. With love to Jeanine and to Ken’s extended family. -Paul Lindemuth, Holland, Michigan.

I knew Ken, first as a teacher, and second as a person. He made science exciting for the students with his collection of classroom wildlife. He was one of the nicest and kindest people I knew. Even when he forgot my name from the day before, he was very considerate when he explained why he didn’t remember, and then he’d apologize for not knowing. What a guy! I am sure he will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
