Dwight's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Dwight here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
I first met Dwight and his father, Ben, in 1983. Our friendship began when we realized we had a mutual fondness for the Cubs. Their caring and kindness continued through the years until I moved away. I will always remember Dwight for his love and strong faith in his Lord Jesus Christ, and his willingness to "be there" for those in need. ... Truly, Dwight had a Servant's Heart for others! While I'll miss those Christmas letters from my dear friend, just knowing he is rejoicing with the Saints and spending this Christmas in Heaven with Ben, Mildred , brings me comfort. Emily

I met Dwight this last summer when he walked up my driveway while I was mowing my lawn. He said I looked like the kind of guy that could help him out with his yard, as he was no longer able to take care of it himself. The best part of taking care of Dwight's place was getting to share some nice talks with him when the job was done. My kids came over a few times while I would do my work and Dwight would come out and be super friendly and kind to them. My kids have said that he was fun and really nice. I am so glad I got to know Dwight before he left this world for a better place.

Dwight was a great man and friend! He always had a smile on his face and had many interesting stories to tell. Our family enjoyed making him meals as well as dining out with him on occasion. He will be greatly missed! RIP our dear friend! Love the Bly Family ?

Loved singing with Dwight in the Choir at First Baptist Church in St. Joseph. Always happy, and finding jokes in even bad things to keep us all happy in faith.

A quote from Dwight's obituary "he was an extremely kind man". My memories of him are as a teenager and he was extremely kind then. Rest in peace Dwight.
