To Shirley; Cheryl, Brenda and families. Our sincerest thoughts and prayers are with you and you family. We looked up to Jim for leadership in my early years of practice. He was always professional and friendly. His sense of humor was special and will be missed. The leadership he gave to his practice, pediatric dentistry, and Delta Dental has had a great and lasting influence to literally thousands of people who never met Jim. We will always remember him fondly and feel deeply for your loss.

Jim Pittman was obviously a well loved family man, dentist, educator, and friend. As part of a Delta Dental Federal Services partnership, Dr. Pittman had a direct impact helping to improve dental services to our Uniformed Service members and their dependents, numbering in the millions. As a colleague and friend, Jim was always gracious, fun, generous with his time and talents. My condolences to his family, and thanks to Delta Dental of Michigan for making him an integral part of a great team.

Condolences to the family of Dr. Pittman. He was my dentist many, many years ago when I was a child in the 60's and remember him with fondness. Whenever I pass his former office on Colfax in Fair Plain, I think of Dr. Pittman, Drs. Elghammer, Gould, and Shah; all great doctors who at one time or another, had offices in that building.
