To Cindy, Andrew, and all of Roger's family: I just found out about Roger's passing on FACEBOOK, and I wish I had known sooner. I met Roger in the 8th grade at Fairlawn Junior High in Evansville, IN. We started playing music together that year, and through the first part of high school. After Pat and I moved to St. Joe in 2005, Roger read an announcement about a concert we were giving, and called me. This was our first reunion since high school days, and we had always wondered what had happened to each other. When we got together at Dino's for breakfast, it seemed like we just picked up where we left off as teenagers. In addition to being a great friend, Roger was one of the most talented musicians I have ever known. He was always lighthearted and saw the humour and the positive side to just about everything. He and I were in regular contact up until we moved to the east side of Michigan in 2013. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Please accept our deepest condolences. Paul and Pat Hanks

In honor of Roger, Stu Townsend lit a candle.
Roger and I first met in 1975 while playing music for the "Heart Breakers" around Dubois County, Indiana. Roger and I decided to start our own group "Something Special". What a great and talented musician Roger was. His lead vocals and harmony were outstanding and his drumming made it easy to stay "in the pocket". But more important, Roger was a wonderful person to be with off the stage. I will miss him very much and him saying - "The no drama band"!
