In honor of Ruth, Dona Shafer lit a candle.
Dear Steve & Rhonda: So sorry to hear about your mom. It's been a while since I've seen all of you. I always enjoyed talking to her. She was so much fun and always so encouraging. And so supportive of you. Love you, Dona

She was a lively spirited soul, that always knew how to spark up a new conversation. She was there for me when I was born, so that is why I gave her one of my blankets, that she will keep forever and always as a great memory of me to keep warm and think of me as the girl and niece during her final days, that gave her a blanket. The Blanket is important but not as important as the love, memories, and time together that Aunt Ruth and I have shared. We had a great time at the family reunions, birthday parties. All the love and memories that are just with me and Aunt Ruth are still with us, and with the blanket. Through the rough times with braces, and my 9th grade freshmen year I have made tons of friends that will help confort me in this time of grief and sadness, because If they lost a loved one I would be there for them too love you Aunt Ruth, love niece Jenna and all her friends that are helping her during this sad time. RIP Aunt Ruth lost, loved yet not forgotten.

Aunt Ruth was a lively spirited Aunt that I will miss dearly and miss very much. She was there since the day I was born, and now It is time that I be there for her. I gave her a blanket before she passed and that blanket will be with her so she can stay warm and comfortable. I remember when she was at the Hoge Family reunions, birthday parties, when I was younger and with me through middle school, all of my 9th grade school year and through the first hard months of having braces. She was a beautiful soul that will be a guardian angel and be missed dearly. Love forever and always niece Jenna and her Friends that will help her through this difficult time. RIP Aunt Ruth
