Michael Patrick Yore

Michael Patrick Yore, 61, of Stevensville, MI passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, MI. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home – 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI Michael was born on August 1, 1956 in St. Joseph, MI to William and Wyn (Miller) Yore. Michael was a 1975 graduate of Lakeshore High School. He served his country while in the U.S. Army. Michael was a surgical Technician at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph. He was a member of the St. Joseph American Legion, the F.O.P. Lodge #96, the Elks Lodge #541. Michael volunteered at the Venetian Festival, Blossom Parade, Food Pantry, and wherever there was a need. He loved to hunt, fish, western movies and an avid Notre Dame fan. Michael also loved spending time with family and friends. Michael is survived by his mother – Wyn Yore; his father and step-mother – William and Janice Yore; his sons – Ian (Kayla) Yore of St. Joseph and Jaron (Courtney) Holmes of North Carolina; grandchildren – Ally and JD Holmes; siblings – Deb Williamsen, Bill Yore, Jr., Cathy Woodrick, Peg (Ron) Farac, Chris (Mike) Screes, Julie (Scott) McWilliams, Theresa Yore, Sarah (Aaron) Yore-VanOosterhout, Becky Yore, Marie (Brian) Juengling and Rob (Lori) Palmer; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by brother – Kevin Yore, brother-in-laws – Steve Woodrick and Chris Williamsen, and a niece – Heather Williamsen. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sat., June 2, 12noon, at Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home in St. Joseph. Visitation precedes the service from 10:30am-12noon at the funeral home.
