Condolences to Joan's family. It was a high light of my day to meet and greet Joan at Stevensville-Meijer where she enjoyed visiting. That special twinkle in her eyes and quick comment was always special. Her spirit will always be shopping and I will make sure to wink back !

Mrs. Pelkey was such a wonderful neighbor. When I was growing up her house was the place to go. A house full of children all ages full of smiles and laughter. She greeted you with a hug and always said to come back again. Her children have captured her loving spirit which is a true testament to her as a parent. She will live on in the hearts and smiles of all who knew her.

Our heart-felt love and prayers go out to all the Pelkey family. My fond memories of your dear sweet mother will stay with me forever. She helped to shape my childhood. She was the sweetest, kindest and most loving Mom anyone could ever have or want.
What I remember most about your mother was her twinkly smile, her contagious hearty laugh and her kind, warm hugs. She accepted us all and loved us all as her own children and made us feel at home. She was our "Mom" too and we all loved her. I cherish those sweet memories of her from my childhood and they make me smile. I am thankful and comforted to know we will see her again . . .
"For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words"
1 Thessalonians 4:15-18
Until then, thank you to all the Pelkey family for sharing your wonderful mother with us ALL!
May God comfort you as you celebrate the life of your amazing Mother and rejoice in remembrance of how many lives she touched and blessed!
We all loved her so much, too!
We love you,
Pam & Alex
