In honor of Janet, Dena Clark lit a candle.
A bright candle has gone out, but friends around the world will keep Janet's light burning inside themselves. Go well across the Rainbow Bridge, JCH4K; cats, family and friends are waiting in the Meadow. Your friend, Catsablanca

Unable to attend the funeral because of the weather. All the Kubaths of Lincoln Township extend our sincere condolences to the family. The elder Asts and the elder Kubaths were Lincoln Avenue neighbors for many years, helping each other as farmers do. Also, the Zuppke kids attended St. Joe High with the Ast kids way back in the 1950s when they too lived on Lincoln Avenue.

Vaya con Dios, dear Janet!
I will miss your wit and intelligence, and your kind heart.
The ICHC world and all that multiplied and expanded from that site will be much smaller places now that you are no longer with us.

What sad news for all who knew and loved Janet. We are so sorry for all of you, but feel so grateful to have known Janet for a tiny bit of time. One of my favorite stories was a recent trip to Europe when she was upgraded to first class! She loved that story. She will be so missed.

Janet was a classmate of mine at SJHS. My memories of her are of a fellow choir member who was my rock and was instrumental in building my confidence and love of choir. I stood next to her for two years as a novice and she was a star. She used her talent well and is still singing in heaven. God bless.

Janet was such a beautiful spirit! She brought smiles and laughter to all around her. She worked for women’s rights and along with her sister Viola made immeasurable contributions to the Berrien County Democratic Women’s Club. I have been blessed to know her and she will be missed. Keep shining your light from above, Janet! My sincere condolences to the family.
