I was surprised and saddened to see this in the paper last night. I pray for comfort and peace to all of you. Dad (Jim Swartz) was unable to attend the service, and sends his apologies and condolences. Take care.

Many years ago he built a family room addition onto our home for us. He was a wonderful builder and a delight to work with. Carroll was honest, reliable, and trustworthy....a wonderful example of a committed Christian. Our sympathies to his family.

Carroll was a good and generous man. I will always remember the times I went hunting with him and my dad. He would get pie with lunch whenever he could. He would almost "sing" with delight as he ate it. He was a good friend. I will miss him but look forward to see him in Heaven. Dale Zilke
