I knew Steve through my 31 years years working at St. Joseph Township. I always enjoyed our conversations when he came in. We compared car trip information as my family was all over the east coast and he knew those roads so well from transporting vehicles from north to south and back again. I always knew where the construction was or where the shortcuts/better routes were when I drove my children south to see family. His dry sense of humor always made the conversations fun, along with being informative. I will miss seeing him around town and at Santaniello's, and I extend my deepest sympathies to his family. He was a man worth knowing, and I was glad that I could call him a friend.
