Gloria's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Gloria here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
Please accept our condolences to you.. my cousin's and all your family. I am so sad over the loss of our Aunt Gloria. I have so many fond memories of her from my youth. Especially when Aunt Gloria and Uncle Bob would bring the girls and visit for long weekends during summer vacations from school. We would sit at the table for hours talking and enjoying the pastries she loved to share with everyone.
I remember one very special summer when I got to spend a week with her and my three very young cousins. She was so busy with an infant and two toddlers but she still managed to make it fun (and stuff me with her homemade cookies and chocolates).
I feel grateful to have been a part of her life. I know all of you will miss the good times and her presence in your lives.
May she rest in peace,
Much Love,
Barbara, Bill and Family

So sorry to the family for your loss!!!! Gloria was a good friend and neighbor to my Mother Carole and I very much enjoyed talking and visiting with Gloria when I would see her while visiting Mom. She was a very nice lady and always asked how I was doing no matter what she may have been suffering herself !!! I will miss her smiling face as I am sure my Mom will as well!!! Rest in peace Dear Lady!!!! Our condolences to you all!!! Carrie W. and Carole G.

So many memories of my Aunt Gloria have flooded into my mind....hopefully I wont ramble too long!
From the time I was a little girl I idolized Aunt Gloria and because I was her oldest niece I think the feeling was mutual! I remember
Going with my dad to pick her up at the Detroit airport while she was still single and working. She would arrive in a propeller airplane dressed In perfectly stylish and beautiful attire and wearing her stiletto heels and bright red lipstick! Her smile and enthusiasm for life were so special!! I so looked forward to her visits because she showered me with love, affection and attention!
She did the same with any child/baby she could get her hands on. Her love of children was one of her most beautiful attributes!
Then she met my Uncle Bob who was equally as dapper and good looking as she was. But I wasn’t so thrilled that now I had competition for her attention! They were a perfect match however and were married some time later. I was so thrilled to be chosen to be the flower girl at their wedding and I remember hanging on to her and crying when they departed for their honeymoon!
Over the years many miles separated us and our visits became less and less as her attention was now turned to raising my 3 cousins..Aunt Gloria was a devoted mother and a wonderful hostess. Every time I visited her the table was full of yummy food and great conversation! She was also an impeccable housekeeper. There wasn’t a piece of dirt she couldn’t conquer. I have two opposing visions of her. The first is the glamorous Gloria in a beautiful evening gown, and red lipstick of course! (I inherited her love of red lipstick)! The second is the homemaker Gloria with rollers in her hair and head tied in a babushka and a bucket and scrub brush in her hand ready to tackle her day of cleaning.... No rest til it was all accomplished!!
Her relationship with uncle Bob was very special...he was always her Prince Charming and they got along so well. I think she even took the rollers our of her hair when he came home from work!
Finally I would like to say well done Aunt Gloria! You made a difference in this little girl’s life who is now a grandmother. Thanks for loving me and thanks for all you did to make me feel special. Your love of babies and children is your finest attribute I That is how I will remember you! I am sure you are all decked out in heaven, where hopefully someone else is scrubbing the toilets!!!
Much love and admiration,
Your niece Elvie
