My beautiful grandmother. I have been so blessed to have you in my life. I have so many special memories that I will cherish. Your life was an example of love. Your words "love one another" for that is what life is all about for God showed his love for us by sending his only son Jesus to die for our sins. And you showed your love for the Lord, your family and so many others. Your compassion and love will be remembered by so many. For God saw that you were tired and called you home. I love you, Your Granddaugher Barbara May God Comfort us and keep us strong.

To all the Family of Mattie: I worked with Mattie for many years at South Haven Public School. She was a joy to work with. I will alway remeber her sitting there in the laundry room sorting all the uniforms and trying to get them all clean for the kids, and sewing all the torn one's so they would be ready for the kids next game. She was the best. I have miss her laugh, and all the storys of her family. You are all in my prays, and know she is in a better place.

Grandma. I love you very much and know that you are now in Heaven smiling down on us all. I have nothing but loved filled memories of all my summers growing up as a kid on the way to Grandma’s. I can’t put into words all the kind and loving things you did for so many people…..even complete strangers, you touched the hearts of everyone you came into contact with, and lived as an example of what Love means. Our Heavenly Father has now called you to continue your mission on a larger scale. Love you and Miss You!

I will miss my grandmother dearly. She was so well loved by all. It was not enough that she had so much family to love and love her back, however, the people she worked with and neighbors all loved her also. Even those who she was in organizations with and of course her church members. I miss you already Grandma and say hello to my Mom who made her homegoing many years ago. Love Always and Forever, Vella Jean.

In the years that I taught swimming leasson for South Haven schools, Mattie was always a pleasure to talk to! She was helpful and supportive. I will always remember her dedication to keeping the uniforms clean for our athletes. Rest in peace.

The Turner family, I am sorry for the passing of Ms. Turner. She has always been a part of my family lives. We lived just down the street from Ms. Turner, she was always so sweet, even when we were kids and came to her house getting on her nerves. And as an adult I have had many wonderful times with her just listening to some of the things she had to say about life. The blessing is she knew the lord, and served him. May the love of GOD be your comfort. With Love Chalene

Oh granny I love you more than words can express all I know is that you are the best. You lived long you worked hard and you put up a good fight. You have been there for this family and others and we all know that you were a great mother.I can still hear your voice and your laughter in my ear,Oh granny you were always filled with so much cheer. Your heart was so big so much love to give. No one ever went hungry around you. You set them at the table and said baby what can I get for you.During the summer you always had something for us to do I was never bored when I was with you, from picking up sticks in the yard to picking blueberries that never made it in the house but I believe you knew that we would eat them but I know that it was your way of giving us something to do.I have never seen you angry or upset that why I tell everyone my granny is the best and everytime I ask for something you always said yes. I can go on saying all these great things about you but all good things have to come to a end even your time here on earth. But you will live on I am part of your legacy and I will always carry a part of you the best my heart you will see that all the parts of you will continue to grow inside of me.I have learned from you what is important family and God so I shall learn to be content with whatever state I am in. Now it is time for to say good bye you will be truely missed but never forgotten. I love you granny and I will see you when I get there and Thanks for being my grandmother.
