Sincerest sympathies to your entire family. I can't express how sorry I was to hear of Arturo's illness and his passing.
I have not had contact with Art since high school, but have thought of him often throughout the years. None of us in the class of 1976 will forget his ever-present smile and his kind and caring nature. He was funny, smart and always thoughtful of others. The world has lost a good man, but heaven has gained one. I, for one am a better person for knowing him. May God give you peace and comfort during this difficult time.

To all the Aleman Family, I am sorry for your loss. Art(Arturo) was always an "ambassador of goodwill" in my mind. He seemed always to have a smile and a handshake for you whenever you'd see him. He always took the time to say hello and made people feel at ease. No matter what the conversation was,it always ended with that smile and a "nice to see you again" He will truely be missed by everyone. Dear Aleman family, David, Pete and Jared, I am so sorry for your loss, and it is a HUGE loss. Art has been in and out of our lives for over 38 years and has left us a very very special gift in Jared. I cannot look or listen to Jared and not hear and see Art. He and Jesusa are his legacy of love, exceptance and laughter. Truely not only a gift from Art but most definatly a lingering gift of rememberance of Art from God.

Dearest Aleman Family,

I am so sorry for the lose of Art. Art was coming out of high school when myself and Jes was coming in. I remember many days at the Alemans house, Art called me lil sister in spanish, I was scared to ack him what it meant. But one day he came to the house of course I was there, and I acked what it meant. That is one of my mermories of Art. Thank you mama Briones (papa Eugenio)for letting me spend most of my teens years at your home, your family will always be very special to me. Please know you are in my prayers. May the love of God comfort you for manys to come.

Another classmate speaks. Arthur had many, many friends. Ben said it best. "None of us in the class of 1976 will forget his ever-present smile and his kind and caring nature. He was funny, smart and always thoughtful of others. The world has lost a good man, but heaven has gained one." I never said much in school and was always quiet. Doesn't mean I have feelings! But there was only a couple people who I really thought were great and "Arturo" was one. My condolences to the family. I know what it's like to lose an uncle, a dad, and a brother. I miss you so much little brother! You were always there when I needed you. You always broke the rules and you broke this one by leaving us early. You were always the "Scout" going your own way. Living life loving and serving ours. You were the "Good Shepherd" helping everyone in need. Our family will miss you at the family gatherings. You were the life of the party. My daughters Katie and Sarah loved you so much. They always talked how much you made them laugh. Art you are the new star in the heaven shining brightly with your love. You were light in life and now you are shining the path for the rest of us. I will never forget the line that you would recite from the "Last of the Mohicans" movie about our ancestors waiting by the camp fire for us. Now you are waiting for us by the camp fire. I am shocked to learn the passing of Art.I have known art and his family since the fifth or sixth grade. I worked with Art at Life Savers back in the day and many times we would car pool to work and Art would have me laughing the whole way with his sense of humor and off the wall jokes.Pete please let your family know I am thinking of you all in this time of sorrow and I know that God has embraced Arturo with his Heavenly arms.
