Aunt Marcia, Liz, Lynn, Mike and families,
I have such fond memories of our families together, growing up in K-zoo, the beach in South Haven, sleepovers and many other fun times. I am proud to say I've known you all since I can remember. My heart goes out to all of you during this time. Uncle Dean wasn't my real Uncle but I always considered him such...I know there are many prayers, warm thoughts and memories, as well as God's love that are surrounding you right now. Love, Heidi

Dear Boot Family,

Mr. Boot was my accounting teacher in 1973/74. Another student and I had a great time in a small room attached to his classroom where we were "supposed" to be doing our accounting assignments independently. Mr. Boot always seemed to "neglect" our antics because we were able to complete our assignments. He always had a smile and a great sense of humor. He was one of my favorite teachers in high school. In fact I just recently (this past week!) was sharing my story of the fun I had in his class with my daughter who is entering high school. Blessings to your family.

Dear Marcia and Family,
Our many thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of great loss. We have wonderful memories of special times with both of you. It was always so great to get together and reminisce the time we shared at Fort Lee. We also enjoyed "bragging" about the progress of our chidren and grandchildren.
We'll miss Dean but know he is present with the Lord. May God's peace and comfort surround you and your dear family.

My Uncle Dean

Blessed be the tie that binds...

Written in memory of my Uncle Dean:

Hi Dad -

I don't know what to do - for Uncle Dean. I loved him so.He was a good brother & a great Uncle. So .. I wrote this about him.. it's the only way i know to express my feelings.
I wish i could be there.

My Uncle Dean

“Tiny” he would say… and hold my hand
Which was tiny when I was a baby.

“Middle child” he would say… and hold my heart
As we shared that place in our families.

“Athletic and funny” he would say… and hold my spirit
When no one else was watching.

“Look another Tiny” he would say… as he held
My daughter and watched her grow.

“Born basketball player” he would say…as he held
My son and watched him grow.

“Always were special” he would say… and held
That part of me that no one else could touch.

“Uncle Dean” I would say…and hold His Hand
As you walk together in Paradise.

Dear Aunt Marcia, Mike, Lyn, Liz and families - I know today will be a remembrance of Uncle Dean -
I will be there in spirit -
It seems as I pray & remember him -that
his only "concern" right now is for those he left
behind -- although Uncle Dean was often quiet -
his heart was so big -- that's why I feel that although he
is now free of suffering -- his "only regret" is the
grief his family feels with his passing.

I love you Uncle Dean - always have, always will.
You were so special in my life..
you made me feel your love for me -
and for that I will always be grateful -
and I will always remember.
